The Hammer Sets the Price, the Auction Tells the Story

If you are connected to rural living and farm life in East Central Indiana, you have heard countless times how the American Farmer, his family, and his neighbors are the backbone of our communities and small towns. Besides the late nights, the endless battle with the weather, and the amount of shear financial risk that they put into their work, they seem to always persevere. When they are not on the farm they are volunteering at the 4-H Fair, running a Church board meeting, or giving back to the local community foundation. Every time I hear “thank a farmer today,” the words ring true.

The point being, when a farm family gives their life to their work, they are raising more than corn and cattle. They build a legacy that transcends generations.

As your farm equipment and agricultural real estate professionals, our goal is to not only maximize the value of your hard-earned assets, but to honor the tradition and sacrifice it took to acquire them. Every piece of farm ground has a unique story to tell. A tractor often times is a true representation of the man or woman that drove it in order to work the land and provide for their family.

Whether it be a farm estate, farm retirement, or simply an equipment inventory reduction, at Flesher Brothers we listen to your story and tailor fit a plan around that story.

For example, statistics and auction results have shown that a farm retirement equipment sale right on the property yields the highest auction prices. Prospective buyers understand where the equipment is coming from, and they can see the care put into the equipment and farmstead. There is a direct correlation between a farmer’s legacy and the results of their equipment auction.

A land auction presents an opportunity for farm ground to change hands for the first time in perhaps decades. Though a private sale may seem tempting, private sales rarely yield record results. Auctions with this class of real estate is the preferred method to maximize the asset. Auctions do a wonderful job of providing seller confidence in the market, and at the same time conveying buyer clarity. A well marketed auction brings a competitive environment of qualified buyers. Everyone has the opportunity to bid to their level of comfortability. As we honor the past at a land auction, we offer the opportunity for an exciting future.

Flesher Brother Auctioneering & Real Estate, Inc. stands by our three pillars. Integrity, Passion, and Professionalism. All three share equal importance, but today I am drawn to the word “Passion”. Just as the farmer has the passion to build their legacy, Flesher Brothers possesses the passion to honor that legacy. The hammer sets the price; the auction tells the story.
